Working from Home | Promoting the Body by Vi Challenge
Well summer is almost officially over; school starts on Monday. I have had a great summer working from home, promoting the Body by Vi Challenge, and spending time with my son.
My son, Aiden is 7 years old. I have always wanted to be able to spend the summer and holidays with him. We don’t have the luxury of having family nearby to help, so I always had to send him to day care or camp every summer. I worried about the influences around him and that he was spending more time elsewhere than with his parents.
We had a really great summer. I usually spent Mondays in my office, sitting at my computer, promoting the Body by Vi Challenge from the comfort of my home. My son knew it was a full workday and he kept himself busy by watching cartoons, building with Lego’s, reading new books from the library, and all of the things little boys do! I just loved listening to him from the other room, talking to his toys, laughing, and reading. I made him lunch everyday and sat with him while we ate and enjoyed unusual time together.
Tuesdays and Thursday was our water-park day. We usually did everything together unless he had a friend join us: the lazy river, slides, etc. Sometimes I took a break to lay out and even make a few Body by Vi calls when I needed to. Going to the water-park was probably my favorite part about “working from home”. The other days were up to us! We visited my parents and grandparents together, visited the library, ran errands, and anything else we needed to do, together. I would just make sure each day to spend at least some time on my business.
Working from Home
Chosing to leave my full-time job of six years is the best decision I have ever made. Working from home, promoting the Body by Vi Challenge has awarded me not only financial freedom, but most importantly time freedom. I look forward to the coming holidays such as Thanksgiving and Christmas. In my previous job, I sometimes was able to take time off during Thanksgiving week but I was never allowed to take off time in December. Aiden always had 2 weeks off from school for Christmas break, and we always had to send him to a family member’s home for a week. I am so excited to be able to spend that time with him this year and to have the freedom to spend Christmas wherever we want!
I love working from home, but most importantly I love precious time with my son. I do not know that I would have ever been able to work from home so comfortably and confidently if it wasn’t for promoting the Body by Vi Challenge.
